ABOUT US

How it all started.

Life Starts Now Productions was founded in the summer of 2013 by writer Tézya Jackson. She decided to create the production company after realizing that there were not many avenues for authenic content for people of color and women. She wanted to start something right away regardless of funding, resources, or societie's acceptance; hence the name Life Starts Now Productions.

After a 2 year hiatus and success from the WebSeries, "Life Starts Now" on YouTube, the production company is back and in full effect. Life Starts Now Productions has added services, videography & photograpghy, a blog, media projects and social campaigns that directly connect to the communities of urban households in the United States.

Our motto is, "Don't wait another minute, Life Starts Now", because every moment is calculated for growth and movement. Join us in this life journey of achieving that goal through media, music, and community service.

BIOGRAPHY

A little bit about the owner, Tézya Jackson

Tézya Jackson was born in Dallas, Texas and the 26 year old filmmaker knew that she always had a passion for storytelling. She began to write her first essays in the 3rd grade that landed her in the Dallas Morning Newspaper for two-consecutive years in middle school and a compelling letter to the Tuskegee Airmen that persuaded them to visit her middle school. She began to expand her talent with writing, directing, and producing several plays in high school and caught the media bug at Prairie View A&M University where she graduated with her BA in Mass Communications and minor in Theatre.

Her first published series, "Life Starts Now Web series" premiered on YouTube in the winter of 2014 and now has over 25,000 views on her channel.
